Q: Do you provide breakfast?
A: We do not provide breakfast. Right next door in the Old Bat Factory a cafe offers great coffee and breakfast sandwiches made to order. Other choices, including McDonald’s, are also nearby.
This year, we added a self-service coffee bar located between rooms 9 and 10.
Q: What is the cancelation policy?
A: For regular night stays, the cancelation policy is – Full Charge of Room – if canceled less than 48 hours of reservation check-in. Reservations are Refunded in Full if canceled outside of the 48 hours of arrival. To cancel a reservation, please call us at 607-637-1600.
For blocks of 4 rooms or more, Full Charge of Rooms, if canceled less than 30 days of arrival. Reservations canceled greater than 30 days before check-in will be Refunded in Full.
Q: Is the wifi good enough to conduct business video conference calls?
A: Indeed, every month many business travelers conduct successful video conference calls using Zoom and Google Meet.
Q: Do your rooms have a refrigerator?
A: Every room has a mini refrigerator, along with a microwave oven.
Q: Does the window in the room open?
A: No, though the heating-cooling unit when on the fan setting draws fresh air into the room.
Q: Do you have free parking?
A: Yes, guests can park for free right in front of their room.
Q: Do you have handicapped-accessible rooms?
A: We have one handicapped-accessible room with a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. Please call ahead to ensure it is available.
Q: Do you allow pets?
A: We have two pet-friendly rooms. Please call ahead to make sure they are available.
Q: Do rooms have a hair dryer? An iron?
A: Yes, each room has a hair dryer. We have irons and ironing boards available when requested.
Q: How many people can be in a room?
A: The maximum capacity is five per room, which would require using a cot.
Q: I’m a BDR rider. Can I leave my vehicle at your place when I ride the trail?
A: If you need long-term parking for your vehicle and/or trailer while riding the BDR, we have worked out an agreement with a nearby business to provide that parking. Call ahead for details.
Q: What are your office hours?
A: Our office hours are 8 am to 10 pm daily, and we allow for 24-hour check-ins.
Q: When is check-in?
A: Our check-in time is noon. We are happy to accommodate early check-in requests if we are able. Please give us a call if you need an early check-in.
Q: How late can we check-in?
A: Guests can check in 24/7. If you arrive after 10 pm, you will find the office lights dimmed and the door locked. Please ring the doorbell or call our main number, (607) 637-1600, for assistance.

A: Check-out is at 10 am. If a late check-out is needed, we can extend your time to 11 am at no charge.

A: Yes, the Upper Delaware Inn, in Hancock, NY, is located on the Rt. 17 corridor between Middletown, NY, and Binghamton, NY. Located just a stone’s throw from Exit 87, the Upper Delaware is the convenient choice for travelers on the scenic Rt. 17 corridor.

A: We regularly host guests dealing with vehicle breakdowns along the 40-mile stretch of Rt. 17 between Roscoe, NY, and Deposit, NY. Help to these travelers is most often provided by Oralls Garage, and we can provide 24-hour check-in service to meet the needs when a vehicle breaks down.

A: Yes, we are a family-oriented facility. We have age-appropriate books and games in our tiny lending library.

A: The Upper Delaware Inn, in Hancock, NY, is four blocks from the bridge over the West Branch of the Delaware River, which enters Pennsylvania on Route 191. Within 1.5 miles of the Upper Delaware Inn, there are five public access boat launches on the East Branch, West Branch, and Main Stem of the Delaware River.

A: Reservations should be prepaid with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express or pre-paid debit cards. Your reservation is guaranteed until the day of arrival. The hotel has the right to cancel your reservation due to unforeseen circumstances such as a room going out of service. We will send you a cancellation confirmation via email immediately if there is a cancelation to your reservation.
All requests to reserve a room must include the first and last name of the person making the reservation, and a valid credit card for a guarantee of arrival. You have to be 21 years old and have a valid ID to book a room. The balance of the full room rental amount is payable on arrival at check-in time. Please note that check-in cannot be completed until full payment has been received and approved.

All rooms are subject to an 8% sales tax collected by NY State Tax Department and a 2% accommodations tax collected by Delaware County, NY.
When booking, keep maximum occupancy rules in mind. Our rooms have two double beds. Maximum of 5 people per room. Children can use cots. Cots are available upon request, subject to availability.
During the check-in process, our receptionist will provide you with any information which may be required during your stay such as the location of near-by shops, good places where you can eat, sights you may like to see, places to go at night, etc. Always ask our receptionist for anything that would make your stay more enjoyable and convenient. You can check-out anytime up until 10AM local time. You may self check out by leaving your key in the room. Later check-out times may be requested although we may not always be able to accommodate requests.
Please note that a detailed inspection of the room is made after the check-out time and we reserve the right to make charges for any damages or breakages found before the room is occupied again. Please be aware that bed linen and towels should be placed where they were originally found. The bed linen and towels are NOT gifts and should remain in the room.
Upper Delaware Inn is a non-smoking property. This applies to both traditional smoking methods and all electronic delivery systems, including vapes, vaporizers, vape pens, hookah pens, electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes or e-cigs), e-pipes, and any variations of the foregoing regardless of the product’s name. Any smoking in the rooms or strong lingering smoking scents in rooms will result in a $300 room cleaning fee. Although, NY has legalized Marijuana, it is not allowed in our rooms at all. Any lingering smells of it, you will be charged a $300 cleaning fee.
The Standard Booking price includes the following:
- All taxes
- Utilities (water, gas and electricity)
- Internet and Cable TV usage
- Towels, bed linen and hairdryer
- Cleaning before and after your stay (daily cleaning is available upon request).
- All room amenities and facilities as mentioned on our website pages and in our correspondence.
Upper Delaware Inn has two pet friendly room. Pets are only allowed in these rooms. If you are bringing a pet, you must reserve specifically for a pet friendly room. The hotel allows guests, with permission, to receive occasional packages and special deliveries at the property. We are not responsible for the packages or their contents or the storage of them. From 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the whole property goes into hush mode for what we like to call quiet time (or sleep time).
Upper Delaware Inn is compliant with the Americans With Disabilities Act(ADA). We offer accessible rooms within the hotel. Please ensure requests reach us by placing it in the comments section of the online reservation form, or by calling us directly at 607-637-1600 after the reservation has been made.
Should you need fresh towels or linen, please call the front desk.
As part of our commitment to guest safety, employees will not disclose the identity, room number or presence of a guest to anyone other than appropriate law enforcement. This includes the taking of or delivery of messages or indirect forwarding of phone calls. It is the responsibility of guests to communicate their presence and room number to any person they wish to receive calls or visits from. Safety cameras are used throughout the premises, and anyone on our property may be recorded.
The motel is not responsible for accident or injury to guests or the loss of money or valuables of any kind. The hotel does not take responsibility or accept liability for damage, accident or loss to your vehicle or personal property. We have surveillance cameras watching over the parking lot so, should anything seem amiss, let us know, and we’ll check out the footage. And if you would like to leave your car in our parking lot for a while, just ask us where to park it, as we reserve the right to tow vehicles.
